1) the wrist mount acts as a wrist brace against the small muscles in your wrist. The same muscles involved with texting, typing, pressing apps, moving around the screen, and just holding the phone 

2) the NuHand appendage is made of a phone holder and an adjustable joint that allows you to move the phone forward and backward to move across the phone screen, and move it up and down to allow for use of your hand with your phone adjusted in a 30 degree up angle ready to use when you need it

NuHand weighs less than 2 ounces and is currently less than 3 inches in length. The wrist mount is sized for your body to be as slim as possible.
